Hi, My name is Julie Murphy and I am the manager of Lyminge pre-school, a role I have been in and loved for over 10 years.

I am delighted to announce that we have just been rated OUTSTANDING by Ofsted - what tribute to our wonderful team and all their hard work.


Furthermore, we have also just received our Kent Quality Mark (KQM) status!

This award has taken us on a year's programme of hard work and dedication. We are now one of Kent's leading settings with only just under 10% of pre-schools and nurseries achieving this award.

We are over the moon! This along with the Outstanding  Ofsted inspection has  given us all a bigger smile on our faces and a spring in our step! Well done team! Keep up the fantastic work!

News Flash!We have extended our opening hours from Tuesday 17th April 2012. We are now opening 8-6pm monday to friday all year round.

So, what makes Lyminge Pre-school OUTSTANDING?

We are very lucky to have our Pre-school set in an area of natural beauty surrounded by countryside, wonderful views and parks.

The Pre-school is located in the village hall, which boasts superb facilities including a large hall, an activity room, a quiet room, newly refurbished toilets, kitchen, full disabled access and two gardens, including superb sensory garden.

We are also lucky enough to be able to use the large green area and parks that surround the hall for sports day and physical activities and our children enjoy outside activities every day, come rain or shine!

The Lyminge Pre-school team is enthusiastic, dedicated and highly qualified, with staff trained to NVQ levels 2, 3 and 4, as well as to Degree level. We operate at a higher ratio than requested by OFSTED
which enables us to spend more time with your child.

We very much focus on the well being of every individual child at our setting; it is our commitment to all children. Happy children make happy learners and we are all committed to ensuring that Lyminge Pre-school is a safe, warm, encouraging, supportive and happy place to be.
